Frioniel (Firion)
Firion, known as Frioniel in the Japanese version, is the idealistic and brave eighteen year old main character from the second Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy II. In Final Fantasy II, he is one of the survivors of a massacre on his hometown along with his childhood friends Leon, Maria, and Guy. At the beginning of the game, Firion and his friends are attacked by Emperor Mateus' guards and his friend Leon is taken. When they awaken, the three of them are in the remote town of Altair and under the care of Princess Hilda. They join the rebel cause to help bring about Emperor Mateus' downfall.
In Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Dissidia Duodecim 012: Final Fantasy, Firion is the playable character representing Final Fantasy II as a Warrior of Cosmos. He is also a playable character in Theatrythm: Final Fantasy, a game for the Nintendo 3DS system.
Firion is voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch and Hikaru Midorikawa in the US and Japanese versions, respectively, of the Dissidia games.
