Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Sleeping Beauty tells the story of Princess Aurora who is cursed by the wicked Maleficent to die on her 16th birthday after pricking her finger on a spindle wheel. However, thanks to one of the good fairies, Merryweather, the curse is altered and instead of death Aurora will fall into a deep sleep and awaken when she is kissed by her true love.

The movie was released in theaters on January 29, 1959.
